Next Gen Pregnancy Initiative Next Generation Pregnancy Initiative (NGPI) is designed to stimulate both creative individual scientists and multi-investigator teams to approach healthy and adverse pregnancy outcomes using creative basic and translational scientific research methods. The formation of new connections between reproductive scientists and investigators who are involved in other areas is particularly encouraged. Postdoctoral fellows nearing their transition to independent investigator status through senior established investigators are encouraged to apply.  Each award will provide  $500,000 over a four-year period.  Public or private non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada, including degree-granting academic institutions, research institutes and teaching hospitals, are eligible to apply. Independence Awards

Simon's Foundation

The Independence Award programs are aimed at Ph.D. and/or M.D.-holding scientists from diverse and/or historically underrepresented groups in science who are currently in a non-independent, mentored training position at an institution within or outside the U.S. and who will be actively seeking and applying to tenure-track faculty positions in the next academic job search cycle. Independence Fellows are expected to apply, secure and transition to a tenure-track faculty position at a research institution within or outside the U.S. within 24 months of their start in the programs. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is not required. January 10, 2024
Postdoctoral Diversity Enrichment Program (PDEP) The Postdoctoral Diversity Enrichment Program (PDEP) provides $60,000 over three years to support the career development activities for underrepresented minority postdoctoral fellows in a degree-granting institution in the United States or Canada whose training and professional development are guided by mentors committed to helping them advance to stellar careers in biomedical or medical research. At ANRF, we are committed to advancing the understanding of arthritis and autoimmune diseases, and we firmly believe that nurturing the talent of emerging scientists is key to finding innovative solutions and improving the lives of those affected by these conditions.
